Civil and public law -- summary

Civil and public laws are very important in every country. Civil law consider with citizens relationships in a country. The main categories in this law are: contracts, torts, trusts and probate. Public law consider with citizens relationships between themselves and state or between one state and another. The main categories in this law are: crimes, constitutional law, international law. The most important differences between these two laws are the definitions. For example, a criminal action is called a prosecution (public law) and an illegal civil action is called plaintiff (civil law). There are differences in damages and liability. As well as there are points of contact. For example, guilty in a criminal case won't be found liable in a civil action about the same matter. It is very shortly about these laws, but you should be more interested in it because there are a lot of practical things.
